about us
To protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Fort Saskatchewan single track trail system, in turn promoting a healthy recreational environment within the community.
Since its development in the early 1990s, the Fort Saskatchewan single track trail system has been an excellent destination for activities as mountain biking, hiking, running and snowshoeing. This is due to its location in proximity to the North Saskatchewan river and community’s development along it’s high banks. It is able to offer up varying degrees of difficulty for these activities, enabling people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors.
The river’s tree line is bordered by a wonderfully paved double wide path allowing for cyclists, walkers and runners to link up with other paved trails throughout the city. That too opens up multiple entrances and exits to the rivers single track supporting it’s use by all skill levels. The different community activities support each other throughout the seasons. Family friendly activities such as snowshoeing will pack the trails for winter fat biking and hiking allowing its visitors year round access to community supported and maintained trail system.
